Brands place their products in their Bridge account. Authorized retailers can purchase these items wholesale. Sales reps can receive order updates. If a brand is a Product Syncing partner, its products can automatically be offered for wholesale purchasing via this service.

Industry Problem

Many retailers are stuck trying to connect their digital wholesale buying and their store’s website. A store may use wholesale software, including that from MarketTime, Juniper, Faire, Bridge, etc., and the store needs to get that product into its front-facing, retail software, which may be powered by Bridge, Shopify, BigCommerce, etc. A retailer should be able to make a wholesale purchase and have it appear easily on the store's website, but that is not possible. Likewise, a retailer should be able to start on its website and initiate a wholesale purchase with a brand, but this is also not possible.

The plates will appear instantly in Laura’s consumer-facing Bridge Store. Laura doesn’t need to ask the brand for pictures or data to manually load it to her website. This helps Laura sell the plates she bought more quickly, and helps Laura's customers see more products more quickly. When Laura wants to reorder the plates from Casafina, she can start on her Bridge Store. She can see real-time stock from the brand, and click one button to start the reorder process. Bridge’s Wholesale service requires 50% fewer steps by Laura than other services.

Featured Client:
Rosenthal USA, which distributes Rosenthal, Versace, Raynaud, and other fine brands, chose Bridge to design and manage its U.S. wholesale site. The site is built on the Bridge framework with custom features and design elements.

The site communicates with Rosenthal’s warehouse to receive real-time stock data, then shares this with logged-in users such as sales reps and retailers.

All the product data that Rosenthal manages on the site is displayed on authorized retailers’ accounts via the Product Syncing service. This helps Rosenthal save time and money in the management of data. It can change an item once, and that change will appear on its wholesale site as well as on hundreds of retailers’ Bridge Stores.

FAQ About Wholesale Service

No. A brand can start using Bridge Wholesale with no setup or activation charge. Notably, our brand clients have shared that other service providers sometimes charge $5,000 to set up a wholesale service. Then the service may charge a $1,500 monthly fee. Bridge’s fees are much lower compared to competitors' fees.
A brand can choose to send an invoice to the customer, accept credit cards at checkout, or both. Please note: Accepting credit cards in real-time via Bridge is a separate service. This service carries a fee. If a brand wishes to accept credit cards online, please ask Bridge for pricing.
Yes. Any retailer can use a brand’s wholesale account. The retailer will open a free Bridge account and then log in to the brand’s wholesale account. The brand controls which businesses it allows to make wholesale orders. A brand will approve each retailer to allow wholesale purchasing. For example, a retailer can’t view a brand’s wholesale prices or make a wholesale purchase unless it’s approved by the brand. No. Bridge Wholesale does not pool many brands' items alongside competitors' items on one site, which a marketplace service often does. Bridge Wholesale enables each brand to have its own account that shows just its products. A retailer can easily browse to this site and makes purchases—as if it were visiting the brand’s showroom. If a retailer wishes to see another brand, it will visit that brand’s account, as if walking to the next showroom. Bridge enables retailers to go from ‘showroom’ to ‘showroom’ and stay logged in. When a retailer makes purchases, these will be accessible online. The retailer can locate these e-receipts in its own Bridge account or by visiting the respective brand’s Bridge account.
Yes. A brand by default receives the website address ‘brandname.myshoplocal.com.' A brand can choose a unique domain name such as yourbrandnameshowroom.com and ‘mask' its Bridge Wholesale address behind this domain.
The service is free for retailers and sales reps. Brands pay a flat fee per month per brand ($49/month per brand). This fee is far lower than other wholesale platforms' charges. Bridge can offer lower prices because Bridge is not dependent on the wholesale service to generate operating revenue. In addition to the flat fee pricing, we also offer a 3% commission model. You can choose between the two fee structures.
Yes. A brand can use just the wholesale service. While using many of Bridge’s services helps leverage existing product data for many purposes, it is not required.
