A missing component for FedEx and UPS remains an e-commerce platform, such as Shopify, Big Cartel, BigCommerce, or Bridge, on which a businesses can operate their online businesses and instantly integrate with a shipping service. Scott Galloway has suggested that Shopify purchase FedEx in order to better to compete against Amazon. FedEx may turns those tables and instead buy an e-commerce provider.
