Heres how your store compares to your website:
1. Sidewalk = Small websites and blogs that lead to your website such as local newspaper sites, local community groups, and wedding websites. These sites provide โfoot traffic....

How can you understand SEO and Google? Check out this diagram I made comparing your physical store to your website. There are many parallels between the two.
Roof = your websiteโs page title & meta data. Very important. No two 'roofs' should be alike.
Signage = branding.
Front door = easy navigation on each page for quick access.
Display window = large pictures of products that youโre selling.
Store hours in the window = your websiteโs listing of ways to contact you, preferably on each page.
Curious how you can customize your Bridge Newsfeed? Please see the accompanying graphic. The yellow highlighted areas are the customizable areas.
What can be customized: - Top header. - Horizontal navigation bar's font and bar's background color. - Slides. - Whether you offer gift cards. (On the gift card page, you can add a custom picture of what your gift card looks like.) - You can output your social media accounts. For each account you add to Bridge, we output the social media platform's logo. - ...

But then ...something stopped this trend in its tracks: Facebook. It standardized everyone's web page. And if you didn't want to join in, you were left out.
What if there was a service like Facebook, but for businesses? In other words, do we need all these...

Teroforma.com
This new home goods website Teroforma means well, but the navigation is horrible. They should've minded everyone's warnings about sites done entirely in Flash.
The article below is what HFN's Allison Zisko had to say about it. If Ms. Zisko or anyone at Teroforma has any thoughts, I'm happy to take posts on this. Thank you.
