Glassworks just received a shipment of handmade glass from Blenko, based in West Virginia. The classic 384 water Bottle design was first introduced in 1938 and has been produced at their factory, by hand, almost non-stop since that very first year. The water bottle’s narrow shape with two pouring spouts and center indentation make for easy handling. Today, this piece of glassblowing history is commonly used as:
A glass pitcher - to serve drinks or enjoy a cool glass of ...

It was October 2021, and I had just finished my first in-person trends seminar since the pandemic impacted all industry shows. At the end of the image-packed program, an audience member raised her hand and challenged, “Do trends even matter anymore?”
It was a valid question. The pandemic had disrupted business, upended supply chains, transformed education, revealed vulnerabilities, altered priorities, and unexpectedly claimed many lives. The question was tinged with cynicism. Pent...

How to save time when navigating between orders placed on your Shop Local Store.
April 4, 2023
Your Online Store has a new feature: We've made it easier to navigate between orders placed on your Online Store. The Order Details page now has forward and backward arrows so you can navigate between orders with one click.
Previously, to see another order, a merchant had to click on the back arrow in the browser, find the order it wished to view, and then click it. The merchant would repeat these steps every time it wished to view a different order.
How to navigate between images for products on a registry list.
March 1, 2023
Your Bridge Shop Local Store has an updated feature: it's now easier to view products' images and browse to other related images on a registry list.
In the example shown, we see a registry list at The Ivy House, a fine china store in Dallas. In the product image thumbnail, we can see the number of pictures that correspond to the product. At the top-right of the image thumbnail, one can click the enlarge icon to open the product image modal.
In the product image modal, we can see the new ...

Your Bridge has a new feature: We've made it easier to navigate between registry lists. A Registry list now has forward and backward arrows so you can navigate to nearby registries with one click.

When we brainstorm about making Bridge better, we want to turn over every stone. We explore many avenues, from increasing collaboration to lowering product prices to enhancing marketing. What if an improvement was right in front of us—constant to all of these concepts? Regardless of what feature we offer, there is one constant: navigation. Navigation is fundamental to allowing members to easily find what they need—and discover what they didn’t know they needed.
Your Bridge has a new time-saving feature. You can now sort SKUs that belong to the same product. This helps you present the SKUs in the order that you wish.
In the example shown, we see an Annieglass product that comes in two finishes: gold and platinum. With the new feature, Annieglass can update the order of which SKU (finish) appears first on the page. It simply drags the two-sided arrow up or down the page, then clicks on the button "Update Product."
As you may know, your business can load lifestyle pictures to each collection. Yet, an issue may arise: the picture may not be showing the ideal 'framing' of the photo. You may wish the frame showed more of the top or bottom of the picture. You can now adjust what Bridge shows from the picture.
In the example shown, we see a Casafina pattern. By default, the software shows the middle of the picture. Unfortunately, the bottom part of the picture is what we'd like to show the shopper. We can ...

Your software now outputs your lifestyle pictures at the top of your Collections page. This makes the page and the products look more engaging.
By default, the 'window' will center on the middle of the lifestyle image. If you wish, you can update the focus by using 'up' and 'down' arrows on the left-side of the window.
In this example, the brand member Vista Alegre is editing its pattern Alma de Lisboa. The member can load two lifestyle images for this collection. The ...

Bridge has made it easier for you to share your news and events.
You can now more easily add pictures to news posts, and then edit and rearrange the pictures.
In the example shown, I'm sharing news about our Vietri seminar in Atlanta. I added a picture to the post, as well as marked it as an event, set a location, and added an RSVP button.
Here is how to share news or an event:
Visit your Bridge home page. Look for the 'What's on your mind?' field. Enter in your news or

At some point along every wine drinker’s arc of discovery, the time comes to invest in a set of glasses.
Choosing the right one may seem complicated, confusing and occasionally overwhelming. The process can be fraught with anxiety, as many different glass styles are available, and points of view clash on what is proper and necessary.
“Greenery” is Pantone’s Color of the Year for 2017. (It’s also known as Pantone 15-0343.) Did anyone notice it is surprisingly close to the color of the Bridge logo? :) What are the green pieces you are going to see in your store come 2017?
When the question of what will define 2017 comes up, the response most often includes words like “Trump” and “populism” and “...
