We've recently noticed an increase in customers visiting our Bridge catalogs using a mobile device (e.g. iPhone). First, some background: we've been hearing about the importance of offering a mobile friendly website for years. When we reviewed website visitors a year ago, we noticed that about 10% to 15% of visitors were mobile. (Bridge has offered a mobile-friendly site since 2011.) The 10% - 15% figure was interesting, but it didn't warrant prioritizing us developing the mobile site over the regular desktop experience.
Now, if we compare this month's mobile visitors to the same period last year, we're seeing across our customer base an increases of 6% - 9% in mobile visits. Therefore, about one out of five visitors to our sites are using a mobile phone.
