Bridge Drains Sales From Amazon, Walmart, and other Deep-Pocket Players
Bridge is helping indie stores compete against the big-box stores and big-money players.
Bridge will help more than 700 indie stores service 7,000 registries this year. Collectively, we’re moving millions of dollars in sales from big players to small stores and their communities.
Proof of this is when we see a bride registered at five stores and 40% of them are Bridge Store clients. The bride lists these registry choices:
Bed Bath & Beyond
Amazon Wedding Registry
Cathy Hulgan Designs (Bridge Store client)
Oxford Floral (Bridge Store client)
Walmart
We can also see that Bridge is helping the store outrank big-box stores in Google. When one Googles's the couple's names, we see the two Bridge Stores rank higher than Bed Bath & Beyond. We also beat private equity-owned MyRegistry.com.
Funny story: Walmart Canada called us to ask for Bridge's helping in build their online registry software. I guess they noticed our success in Google, too. That project didn't go forward.
