Contemporary Concepts, one of America’s premier luxury gift and tabletop stores, cut its website maintenance costs 90% by joining Bridge. The store, located in Pittsburgh, PA, joined Bridge this month. Before joining Bridge, the store was responsible for managing about 56,000 products online. The staff had to update prices for each item, find pictures, and load descriptions. By joining Bridge and using Bridge's product updating service (Smart Products), the store could offload much of this work to the Smart Product service.
“I knew I needed a new website to keep up with my expanding e-commerce business,” said Kenny Cohen, President of Contemporary Concepts. “Loading all my items to a new web platform was going to be a daunting task.”
Bridge was able to do this heavy lifting for Mr. Cohen and his staff. After moving to the Smart Products service, the staff was then responsible for just 4,600 products. Cutting its management from 56,000 products to 4,600 products drastically reduced the amount of work needed to update prices, pictures, and product data.
The staff and customers are also enjoying more product photos. The store's new Bridge site has pictures for almost 100% of its products. Previously, the store only had pictures for 62% of its products.
With Bridge, the staff can spend more time on customers and less time at a computer. The store is saving money and offering a better online shopping experience.
