ATLANTA—Tabletop brands Casafina and Vietri are collaborating with e-commerce platform provider Bridge on two training sessions at the International Gift & Home Furnishings market here this week.
Thirty-nine percent of all e-commerce sales were made via smartphone on Black Friday, yet most independent stores have little or no product offering online and often have outdated websites, according to Bridge founder and CEO Jason Solarek.
Meanwhile, in-store shopping—where indie stores have traditionally excelled—is shrinking, Solarek said. “Imagine you have two weights on either side of a pulley, with one being in-store and the other being digital. Digital is on the rise at the expense of in-store, and we’re holding training sessions to help stores rise in this market.”
The free seminars, which will take place on Friday, Jan. 17, at 5 p.m. and Saturday, Jan. 18, at 5 p.m. in the brands’ respective showrooms, will cover to how to use to Bridge to sell more of the brands’ products online, quickly boost online selection, rank higher in Google and grow gift registry sales.
