There are 3 ways reset a registry password:
1. Registrant Resets Password on His/Her Own
A. The registrant visits your Bridge page.
B. The registrant visits your Gift Registry home page. The URL will be similar to this: https://yoursite.myshoplocal.com/registry.cfm
C. On your Gift Registry home page on the right hand side, there is a registry login field. Below this login form there is a link that says "Forgot your password?”. The registrant clicks this link. The registrant will be taken to a registry password reset page on your site.
D. On the password reset page, the registrant enters the email she/he used to sign up for her/his registry. (Primary registrant or co-registrant emails are both valid.) Then she/he will press the ‘submit' button.
E. Our software will email the registrant. In the email there will a reset link.
F. The registrant will be prompted to put in a new password and verify the new password in a second field. Then click "Reset my password".
G. The password on the registry is now reset and can be used for logging in. The registrant can proceed to the Gift Registry home and login to the registry.
2. Retailer Manually Resets Password
A. Log in to your Bridge account.
B. Visit your Registry Management page. To do this, roll over "Gift Registry” and from the dropdown menu click on Registry Management.
C. On Registry Management page, navigate to the registry from which you want to reset the password. Click the registrant’s name.
D. Once on the registry’s main profile page, click the "Edit your registry profile" link in the upper right corner.
E. Once on the Edit registry page, there is a “Reset password” link. Click this link. A blank password field will appear. You can enter a new password for the registrant. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Save Profile.”
The password is now reset. Be sure to give the registrant her/his new password.
3. Retailer Sends Registrant Password Reset Link
A. Log in to your Bridge account.
B. Visit your Registry Management page. To do this, roll over "Gift Registry” and from the dropdown menu click on Registry Management.
C. On Registry Management page, navigate to the registry from which you want to reset the password. Click the registrant’s name.
D. Once on the registry’s main profile page, look at the registrant’s picture. Overlaying the picture there are email generation links. They read:
“General / Welcome / Incentive / theknot / Password Reset"
Click on the Password Reset link.
