I read the New York Times and want to ask: Are we sharpening our executioner's sword? That is what FedEx wondered as it helped Amazon grow by delivering its packages. Finally, FedEx woke up and decided it's better to make less money tomorrow than help usher in its death in the near future. Bridge doesn't store your credit card or payment information online, and as such isn't susceptible to the same hacking the article describes affected Amazon.
The article reminds us to create strong passwords--any unauthorized access to your account can be embarrassing and hurt business.

Recently, two business friends told me to check out Shopify. They said they were using it to manage online stores. Since my company Bridge offers e-commerce software to 200+ retailers, I was curious to see how Shopify compared.
I signed up for an account as if I were a retailer.
I thought the sign up process was pretty easy. They didn't even ask me for a password. They automatically gave me one that I could change later.
