Scott Galloway, author and business savant, recently wrote an ode to collaboration that I liked:
"Humans ... evolved hiding in the trees while stronger, faster, and more sharply clawed creatures roamed the savanna. So we developed a robust neurological system for identifying threats, gauging their severity, and responding quickly, often before we’re conscious of the threat level. But fight-or-flight wasn’t enough to shepherd us out of the forests. First we had to develop our ...

I thought I heard birds singing, but it's just this table of Chelsea Bird from the Colonial Williamsburg Collection. Porcelain produced at Chelsea in London in the eighteenth century is regarded by many as the apex of English ceramic art. Among the most treasured pieces of Chelsea are those decorated in the workshop of James Giles with his birds of “distinctly disheveled appearance.” Our Chelsea Bird pattern has been adapted from Giles’ originals in the Colonial Williamsburg ...

Carol Schroeder recently shared how local shops help our communities and their environment. I liked the excerpt below from her post:

According to The Guardian, a returns platform “recently calculated that only 50% of ...

Many years ago, as a new assistant at Lord & Taylor, the buyer cautioned me to not get too attached to people or merchandise. His wisdom was not cold-hearted, but a cautionary tale to keep emotional attachments in check. I was there to deliver strong financial results and if something wasn’t selling, I shouldn’t harp on it, but mark it down and move on. And, as far as work relationships were concerned, I should be a good coworker but not get attached to colleagues.
