An octopus spends most of its solitary life living in a den only emerging at night to hunt for food. While a rock or random crevice is a common choice for a den, this octopus has clearly picked the equivalent of a luxury condo. A conch shell painted in fishnet colors reflective of the aquatic realm as well as pearlized paint and 24k gold accents make for a grand sanctuary.

Have you ever noticed a category of wine that wasn’t labeled for drinking but rather for cooking? What is the difference between cooking wine and regular wine and can you use either? While you are able to put any regular wine into a dish, cooking wines are designed specifically for cooking. So let’s talk about what cooking wine is.

In the early 2000s, the board game Cranium became a hit. The game combined elements of Scrabble and Pictionary with the goal of helping more people enjoy playing a game. Richard Tait, who created Cranium and sold it to Hasbro in 2008 for $77.5m, passed away in July. Like Mr. Tait, I had been a paperboy, but he went beyond what I ever offered: he came up with a new service that sold breakfast sandwiches along his newspaper route. He increased profits and made customers happier. ...

I recently bought a pair of jeans from the bike-lifestyle company Rapha. I find Rapha's stores, emails, and mission to be inspiring to Bridge, and I'll explain why.
First, you may ask, "What is Rapha?" Rapha is a product company that sells goods for biking, including shirts, shorts, helmets, and accessories. What is unique is the lengths it goes to foster a community (and sales!) by having a coffee shop in it, organizing riding events, offering members-only clothing...

Last week, a gift shop in Alabama signed up for Bridge and had a coaching call with Jordyn, our retailer coach. In this video, I discuss:
1. Why indie stores are having a hard-time competing online. 2. What these stores need to do to overcome the obstacles. 3. How Bridge's software can help them quickly.
I recommend that one view their website as a 'fish tank.' For starters, it has to be filled with brands, products, and features. When a store does this, the fish (aka the store) will thrive.

The Figural Fish Platter, pictured along with the "tail" of a serving bowl and salad plates, brings Pesci Colorati to life with layers of handpainted color. The maestro artisans also handcrafted the fish figure, using dishwasher safe Terra Bianca. Stop in at the Shadyside store to see our selection of pieces from this collection.
