🆕 With the natural motifs and expressive colors you know so well, we've added an absolute novelty to serve you Carmen. In the collection's goblets, where each foot presents a fruit in a tile, the cushion is made of faceted glass, creating an exotic dance between the transparency of the body and the exuberance of the base. Ceramic glasses, of different dimensions, reproduce the decoration of the goblets in high relief, allowing to harmoniously combine all pieces. In addition to creating a scene ...

What Threads can teach us about leveraging our existing network when launching a new service.
July 22, 2023
Threads, a new Twitter-like service from Meta, the owner of Instagram, launched this month and almost immediately attracted 40m active daily users. The service’s growth has since stalled and now has just over 10m daily users, but that is still commendable. The Wall Street Journal shared that this impressive launch was largely possible because Meta used its built-in network of one billion Instagram users. This user base helped it overcome the “cold start” problem of acquiring ...

There’s nothing quite as cozy as grandma’s house. It’s like a warm snuggle of home cooked meals, fresh cut roses from the garden, doilies, chintz, needlepoint, vintage furniture, wallpaper, a breakfront china cupboard, Earl Grey in a collection of English bone china teacups, and lavender oil that soothes the senses and transports you to carefree days of yore.
The Granny Chic or Grandmillennial trend is all the rage, particularly among millennials. It’s an expression of...

How setting goals for our new members can help them be more successful.
January 31, 2023
When growing our network, we consider what it takes to keep existing members and grow into other industries. Andrew Chen in The Cold Start Problem reports that Facebook famously wanted a user to get 10 friends in a week because then the person would likely use the service. Similarly, Slack said users with about 10 connections tend to become active users. My company currently doesn’t have such new user benchmarks and we need to develop them.

A decor imagined by the decorator Alberto Pinto for Raynaud. Its originality lies in the subtle decoration of its items. Each of them has its own history and aesthetic personality. The emerald green color, which complements the original coral red collection and the ultramarine blue version, plunges us into the abyss and the mysterious depths of the sea. It is sometimes dense and deep on the coral handles of the cups or on the knobs of the teapots, sometimes soft, contrasting, nuanced and water ...

In the early 2000s, the board game Cranium became a hit. The game combined elements of Scrabble and Pictionary with the goal of helping more people enjoy playing a game. Richard Tait, who created Cranium and sold it to Hasbro in 2008 for $77.5m, passed away in July. Like Mr. Tait, I had been a paperboy, but he went beyond what I ever offered: he came up with a new service that sold breakfast sandwiches along his newspaper route. He increased profits and made customers happier. ...

Nice to see Daniel Silva from Vista Alegre. Daniel took time to show me why Vista Alegre is the “top banana” of Portuguese tableware. Vista Alegre commissioned 46 illustrators to design espresso cups based on a story. The pieces are very creative.

Our indie retailers are being hunted by four major forces:
Amazon
Big-box stores
Brands (selling direct)
Zola
While we've known about Amazon and big-box stores for some time, they are becoming more sophisticated. Amazon is so powerful now that it's the focus of anti-trust inquiries by the government. Big-box stores are spending millions on their digital operations.
Bridge's goal is to give indie stores great software that reverses the gains being made by these forces.
