The latest addition to the line of cookware and serving pieces from Curtis Stone, the chef and television personality, is a trio of baking pans that combine heavy-duty steel with silicone liners. The cake, loaf and muffin pans have built-in silicone bottoms that can be popped up, making it easier to release their contents. Mr. Stone said he developed many of the cookware items sold under his name after filming the reality series “Take Home Chef,” in which he randomly finds people in a supermarket and goes to their homes to help them cook a meal. “I got real insight into what people go through in the kitchen and how inadequate their equipment often is,” he said. “My products are not just endorsements. I hope I’m solving problems.”
The Curtis Stone Pop Out silicone loaf pan is about 8 inches by 4 inches; the round cake pan is just shy of 9 inches in diameter; and the muffin pan has six wells, each
1/2 cup. The pans retail for $29.95 each.
