One of our Bridge retailers recently received a message from a bride-to-be. She said that she would not be able to visit the store and instead emailed the store all the items that she wanted to register for.
This is a great news for our retailer’s registry. The bride likes the store’s Bridge site so much that she’s going to pick everything out online and not even come in the store.
And, this message is a great example of the existing trend:
Brides don’t even go into the store. Women these days are working and are too busy. Women are CEOs. They have less and less time to visit stores to pick out registry stuff.
She just registers for items online.
We can see by this message below that stores will suffer if: 1. Their existing registry is antiqued. 2. Their online selection is not as large as it could be. 3. Their staff doesn’t understand and embrace the web.
