DORSET, Vt. —JK Adams has appointed Adam Sigel CEO.
Sigel, a seasoned sales executive and a consumer goods expert, succeeds Daniel Isaac, who has moved on to another role in Vermont, the company said.
Sigel most recently served as vice president of the Savannah Bee Company, a Georgia-based gourmet foods and gift company, and also served on the executive team at Mariposa, where he partnered with JK Adams on a luxury line of co-branded wood and slate cheese boards.
“I made a strategic decision to bring on a seasoned sales executive that truly knows our industry,” said JK Adams Owner and Chairman Malcom Cooper, Jr. “Under Adam’s leadership we look forward to continuing the successful growth that JK Adams’ has experienced over the years, as we approach our 80th anniversary.”
In addition to serving nearly 4,000 independent retailers, the company’s custom manufacturing and private-label business produces exclusive designs for major national brands and retailers such as Williams-Sonoma, Sur La Table, Uncommon Goods, Crate & Barrel, Nora Fleming, Christopher Kimball’s Milk Street Kitchen and more.
It also operates its flagship kitchen store here in Dorset, which the company said continues to record strong retail sales. It also plans to refresh and relaunch its direct-to-consumer website in the coming months.
“I continue to be impressed with the solid and engaged management team that JK Adams has in place,” said Sigel. “It will be exciting to lead this organization into the future as we
continue to design and manufacture high quality wood products for the kitchen and home.”
