New Feature: A Registrant Can Request Redemption of a Gift
We've added a new feature to your Bridge account: a registrant can now request redemption of a gift purchased on their registry.
When a registrant is logged in to their registry, they will see a "Request redemption of this gift" button next to items that have been gifted to them and that have a qualifying order status. The registrant can click the "Request redemption of this gift" button and fill out the form with the details of how they would like their gift to be redeemed. The store will then receive an email with the registrant’s responses to the form.
The example shows an Anna Weatherley Dinner Plate that was purchased for a registrant by Uncle Joe. Due to this order’s status, the registrant sees a "Request redemption of this gift" button next to the gifted item. The registrant can click this button and the redemption request form will appear. The registrant can select if they would like their Anna Weatherley Dinner Plate shipped or picked up, if they’d gift it wrapped, and enter a message for the store.
The order status that allows the registrant to request a redemption is "Pending: Applied as virtual registry credit & awaiting redemption by registrant." In the example shown, the store had updated the status of the order to that on the Order Details page.
This new feature will:
Increase the satisfaction of registrants.
Increase the positive reviews given to a store.
Help the store save money by using technology to facilitate redemptions.
