As you may already know, production of stainless steel flatware has perhaps been the most impacted business in tableware during the Covid crisis. This is where we stand with Couzon: our factory that produces the "U.S. only" patterns of Le Perle, Lyrique and Consul was closed for most of the summer due to Covid issues. They are just now getting back up and running and slowly at best. Orders that we placed over the summer we will not see until May of next year. As a result, we are effectively out of Le Perle 5 pc. place settings and will remain so for almost 9 months. If that situation improves, you will be the first to know. On the plus side, I have sufficient inventory in Lyrique and Consul to weather the storm for at least one year, both in 5 pc. and open stock items. We do have a lot of open stock in Le Perle, but we are out of teaspoons so we cannot make up 5 pc. place settings as a result.
On other key patterns that are produced elsewhere, namely Silhouette, Ato Hammered, S-Kiss and Steel, we appear to be in good shape with only spot outages of short duration. On Fusain, however, we are out of 5 pc. and will not see our replenishment until early next year.
It is a very difficult environment out there between port backlogs, factory issues, and labor shortages, but we are doing our best to deliver the best service possible. Please bear with us during these difficult times.
