7 Steps to Prepare for Black Friday / Cyber Monday
It's just 3 days till Black Friday. And on Monday, we have Cyber Monday. Online sales will reach $189 billion this holiday season--a 33% increase over last year. Is your website ready?
I've created these 7 steps to help you get ready:
1. Place products on sale
Be prepared to cut prices more than normal.
Clearly list end dates for sales to create urgency.
3. Present yourself as the 'holiday hero'
Share news that shows pictures of you and your staff. Show your staff around the store holding products and helping customers. Share pictures that include holiday imagery.
You can post these images to your Bridge News page, then share them on social media.
4. Email past customers
Email customers about your sales. Include your 'hero images.'
You can view past customers' emails in the "Your Customers" area of your Bridge Store.
5. Survey the competition
Look at competitors' websites. What are they offering?
6. Update your home page
Add holiday slides.
Add holiday hours.
Add holiday news.
You can update store hours on the "Your Business Profile" page.
7. Offer free shipping
Most shoppers report they look for free shipping. Amazon became the king of e-commerce via this insight. Borrow a page from their playbook.
