A brand can set its items to take a specific action if it goes under a set threshold. In this example, when a product’s stock reaches 4, it will no longer be Synced with retailers. However, the brand can continue selling the product directly to consumers on its site.
How a brand can set its items to take a specific action if it goes under a set stock threshold
Your Shop Local Store has a new feature: You can now automatically change a product’s status when inventory drops below a set threshold.
When enabled, this feature helps you stay ahead of low inventory by triggering a specific action once stock reaches the quantity you choose.
How-to Steps:
- Log in to your Shop Local account.
- Hover over Management at the top of the page and click Brand Settings.
- Scroll to the Product Options section. There, you'll see “Change item’s status when stock is low.”
- From the dropdown, select one of the following:
- Yes: Applies to All Items
- Yes: Applies to Only Sale Items
- Once enabled, two additional fields will appear:
- Stock Qty: Enter the inventory threshold that will trigger the update.
- Action Taken: Choose what happens when the threshold is reached:
- Unpublish (active but not visible to retailers or the public)
- Remove from Syncing (active but only visible to the public via your site)
- Archive (no longer active)
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save Your Changes.
Example:
In the example shown, the brand has set the stock quantity to 4 and selected “Remove from Syncing.”
If a product’s stock reaches 4, it will no longer be Synced with retailers. However, the brand can continue selling the product directly to consumers on its site.
