What is LiveChat?
LiveChat is a text-based communication between your store and your customers. It works much like a text message but lives directly on your website, allowing you to provide support, assist with purchases, and engage shoppers without disrupting your day.
Getting started is simple: sign up at LiveChat.com, enter your credentials in your Shop Local admin, and you’re ready to chat. This feature is available to all Shop Local members at no additional cost, though standard LiveChat terms and fees apply. All conversations are managed through your own LiveChat app.
With LiveChat, you can respond faster, stay connected, and turn quick questions into confident purchases.
How to Access this Feature:
- Log in to your Shop Local account.
- Hover over Management, and locate General Settings under the Business & Profile Settings section.
- In the right-hand column, scroll down and locate "Live Chat", located under "Book Appointments Online".
- Set up an account via LiveChat.com. Select the $19/month plan.
- Once the account has been created, paste your LiveChat ID in the "Your LiveChat ID:" field.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and Save Your Changes.
