Your Shop Local Store has a new feature: You can now remove a collection’s name from all product names within that collection with a single click. This saves you time from editing each product manually.

By default, our software automatically outputs the collection name on a product's Details page. By default, Shop Local displays the collection name on each product’s Details page. If the collection name is also included in the product name, it appears twice. This feature helps you avoid redundancy and helps you maintain clear, consistent product naming. 
 

How this Feature Works:

When a product name includes its collection’s name, our software will display the following notice:

Suggested Update
Issue:
The pattern name "[duplicate word]" exists in the product name field for one or more products. The pattern name should not appear in the product name field because it's redundant and impedes clarity.

Suggested Action:
Click here to automatically remove the word [duplicate word] from the product name field.
 

How to Access this Feature:

1. Log in to your Shop Local.
2. Browse to a collection's page on your site.
3. Scroll to the bottom of the page. If your product names contain the collection's name, you'll see the "Suggested Update" notice.
4. Click the "Click here to automatically remove the word [duplicate word] from the product name field" link. The page will refresh and display the updated product names.
