Located in the heart of historic Madison, Georgia, In High Cotton has been a beloved flagship store since opening its doors in 2002. Known for its high-quality home furnishings and accessories, the store blends comfort, style, and affordability, offering a thoughtfully curated selection to suit every taste and budget.

In 2022, longtime owners Rhonda and Ron Erwin faced health challenges and asked their friend and next-door neighbor, Margaret Lignon, to step in and help “keep the place going.” In the process, Margaret caught the retail “bug” and was quickly inspired by the heart of the business. She began reflecting on how to preserve the Erwins’ legacy, keep retail thriving in downtown Madison, support the loyal In High Cotton team, and continue serving the customers who bring the store daily joy, laughter, and blessings.

In 2023, that vision became a reality when Margaret purchased the store from the Erwin estate. She hopes that the rivers that have carried them all to this moment will continue to be fruitful—nourishing all who walk through the doors and honoring those who came before.
