New Feature: A Brand Can Choose to Sync (or Not) a Product

Your Shop Local Store has a new feature: You can now easily toggle Syncing on or off for a product. This feature is helpful if you do not wish to Sync discontinued, damaged, or defective products.

How this feature works:

• This feature allows you to control which products appear on retailers' sites.
• If you want a product to be listed on your Shop Local Store but not appear on retailers' sites, you can turn off Syncing for that product.
• When a product is on your Shop Local Store but not Synced with retailers, it will only be visible to customers who visit your Shop Local Store directly.

To access this feature, please follow the steps below:

1. Log in to your Shop Local account.
2. Search for or browse to a product on your Store.
3. Click the product to ensure you're on the its Details page.
4. On the product's Details page, there are two ways to toggle Syncing:
   1. At the top of the page, click Edit Product to open the "Edit" modal.
      • In the modal, click Description, Shipping, Syncing, & More.
      • To disable Syncing, click the green Sync This Product button to unselect it. Then, click Update Product.
      • To re-enable Syncing, click the white Sync This Product button to select it. Then, click Update Product.
   2. At the bottom of the page, there is a "Sync this Product" section.
      • To disable syncing, click the green Yes button to unselect it. The button will turn white, and you'll see a banner saying, "This product is no longer syncing with your Shop Local retailers."
      • To re-enable syncing, click the white Yes button to select it. The button will turn green, and you'll see a banner saying, "This product is now syncing with your Shop Local retailers."
