The Syncing service helps retailers avoid pricing errors. Brands update products to keep pricing and other information up to date.
The "Product Pricing History" section shows 10+ years of price changes for this product.
How the Syncing service helps retailers receive updated prices to avoid losing money.
Stores that have a Shop Local Store use the Syncing service to save time and money on product maintenance. After a brand loads their products to their Shop Local account, the products are Synced in real-time to retailers' Stores.
The brands do their respective maintenance work by adding and updating the products—saving the retailer from having to do it. Part of this maintenance includes updating prices for items to ensure they are up to date. By updating prices, brands help retailers avoid losing money on an order due to selling a product at the wrong (often lower) price.
Product Price Change History
- Price changes are tracked on a product's Details page. The Details page shows any recent changes as well as past changes.
- Members can view a product's full pricing history – from the time the product was added to the most recent price change.
- Price change history helps retailers and sales reps charge the accurate price. This also helps them easily track price changes and see pricing trends over time.
In the example shown, we see a Vista Alegre Zanzibar Pitcher on a retailer's site.
- When the retailer is logged in to their Shop Local account, they can see the price change history for the product.
- The product was shared on March 29, 2013 – over 10 years ago.
- The "Product Pricing History" section on the Details page shows the retailer that the product has changed in price 5 times over the last 10+ years.
- If the retailer didn’t make these changes, these price changes would cost their store up to 79%.
- Thankfully, the retailer didn't lose money due to pricing errors. The store received the updated prices instantly via our Syncing service.
