Updated Feature: Your Alert to Customers About Paying via Telephone

Some Bridge merchants do not accept credit cards online. The merchant calls the customer (after they placed the order) to collect the customer's credit card information. For merchants that do not accept cards online, your Bridge has an updated feature that makes it  easier for customers to expect a call from the store.  A customer will now see a banner with a green telephone icon on the final checkout page. The banner displays this message:

"After you click the Place Order button below, we'll call you to confirm your order and take your credit card via telephone. Order accuracy and security are a top priority for us and our team."

The example shows the checkout page for Alioto's, a fine decor and gifts store in Illinois. 

Prior to this update, the final checkout page conveyed that the store would call via text. There were no visuals indicators. 

By default, your Bridge Store allows customers to place an order online and does not allow them to enter a credit card on the final checkout process. The default setting allows a business to quickly start taking orders without the time-consuming process of setting up credit card processing. . 

If a store chooses, it can update it Bridge Store to allow a customer to submit a credit card online when checking out. If a store activates this credit card service, it can take payments online.  Bridge Store can accept all Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover cards. The merchant chooses which cards to accept.
