Want to see your brand move up the ranks? These steps will help you strengthen your partnerships, boost registry placements, and increase visibility with engaged couples nationwide.
1. Identify Your Top Retail Partners
- View the Leaderboard on your Shop Local account.
- View the retailers that rank the highest overall and with the biggest percent gain.
- Make a list from these stores that you are not currently selling to.
- Contact the stores using the Shop Local platform or via phone/email.
2. Strengthen Retail Partnerships
- Offer exclusive product lines, better margins, or training to key retailers on the Leaderboard.
- Provide marketing materials and registry-focused selling tools.
- Incentivize retailers with promotions tied to registry performance.
3. Optimize Your Product Catalog
- Focus on products that are most commonly added to wedding registries.
- Develop bundles or curated sets specifically designed for wedding registries.
- Highlight best-selling wedding products in news posts, product catalogs, and sales presentations.
4. Improve Product Listing Quality
- Ensure product images, descriptions, and details are added to items on Shop Local.
- Conduct marketing campaigns that drive registry awareness, such as auto-sharing registry-related news posts onto authorized retailers’ Shop Local Stores.
5. Track Results and Iterate
- Review Leaderboard rankings every month. You’ll receive an email on the 2nd day of each month.
- Use reporting to guide product development and future launches.

- Conduct a monthly check-in: Review Leaderboard rankings and sales trends on the 1st of each month.
- Keep your account visible: Visibility boosts access to complete data and increases exposure.
- Make data-driven decisions: Use Leaderboard insights to guide product, marketing, and sales strategies.
- Leverage momentum: Highlight "Top 100" achievements in newsletters, websites, and marketing materials.
- Build your network: Reach out to high-performing retailers you are not yet working with.

To view the Leaderboard, please follow these steps:
- Log in to your Shop Local account.
- At the top of the page, hover over Network. From the drop-down menu, click Leaderboard.
