Backing up a registry:
Before deleting a registry, please consider first backing it up. There are two primary ways to backup a registry:
- You can download it using Bridge Shop Local's download links.
- To download a registry's content, first change you 'Registry View' to "Edit." (By default you're in "List" view.) Once you are in Edit view, you will see that all the registries now have an Excel icon. To the right of the icon are three links: Profile, List, and Purchases. Each of these links produces an Excel file with a download of these contents. There is a fourth icon next to these links: a Zip file icon. Clicking this link will download of the three previous files into a Zip file.
- Also, if you click into the registry and are on the registry's list of content, there are download links at the bottom of the page.
- 'Print' the registry. You can use the ‘print as PDF’ feature built into your web browser/computer. This feature ‘prints’ the document to a digital PDF. In this way, you can have registries 'digitally' as a PDF and not have to print out lots of paper registries. You can have digital versions of the registries. If you are using a PC/Windows computer, here is more info on ‘print to PDF’ https://www.digitaltrends.com/computing/print-pdf-windows/ . After you print or download the Excel files, you may choose to delete the registry.
