Your Shop Local Store includes a gift registry, and that registry, by default, offers registrants an incentive to promote your store.
- Your Shop Local's incentive program asks the registrant to complete five steps.
- When they do, your store will give the registrant an in-store gift card.
- By default, your Shop Local Store sets this gift card incentive reward at $90.
- You are responsible for giving this amount to the registrant; you can set this amount to what you'd like.
- Since the average gift registry purchase is $165, we recommend raising the incentive amount to $75+.
Here are the steps the registrant must complete to get the in-store gift card from your business:
Registrant must add a picture to their registry on your site.
Why? Guests love seeing who they are shopping for when looking at a registry.Benefit to the retailer: You will sell 18% more and receive $482 more in gifts.
Registrant must add a link from the registrant's official wedding website to their registry with your store.
Why? Guests often start shopping for the registrant via their wedding website (e.g. The Knot, Zola, Minted, etc).Benefit to the retailer: Your online sales will increase because guests can more easily find the registry via your Shop Local Store.
Registrant must add their official wedding website address to their registry profile with your store.
Why? This keeps the registrant's wedding details and registry seamlessly connected.Benefit to the retailer: By adding the web address and selecting the software type, your Shop Local software will automatically output steps for how the registrant can add a link on their wedding website. Additionally, guests will be inspired to buy more when they have an easy shopping experience.
Registrant must add a comment about an item on their registry. E.g., "This vase is the perfect addition to our mantelpiece!" or "Looking forward to hosting our first brunch with this new china."
Why? Friends and family are more likely to buy items with comments on them.Benefit to the retailer: Increase your chances of achieving $3,200 in orders per registry.
Registrant will review their registry experience with your store. (Tip: We recommend having them write the review via your Shop Local Reviews page, which can easily be shared on social media.)
Why? Their feedback helps to serve future couples better and encourages new couples to register with your store. and boosts your Google ranking.Benefit to the retailer: People can easily find you when searching for the best place to buy a wedding gift, as a review will boost your Google ranking.
