- Log in to your Shop Local.
- You'll confirm if the retailer is active in Shop Local, listed as selling your brand, and/or Syncing products with your brand via Shop Local.
To do this, at the top of your site roll over Network at the top of the page, and in the drop-down menu, click My Retailers.
On the Retailers page, you'll see your brand and which retailers are connected to it.
You'll see these columns:- Store Name
- Authorized Dealer
- Synced
- Show on "Find a Retailer" page
- Wholesale Access
- Friends
- Network Sales
- Sales Rep
- Do you see the retailer that you want to appear on your Find a Retailer page?
If so, then you'll ask: Does the page show that the store is showing on your Find a Retailer page?
- If the store is appearing, there will be a green dot in the "Show on "Find a Retailer" page" column.
- If not, there will be an Add link. You will likely want to have all stores that are Syncing products with your appearing on your Find a Retailer page.
If the store that you want to show on the Find a Retailer page is not listed on this page, you'll want to search for the retailer in the Shop Local Directory and connect with it.
- Enter the retailer’s name in the Search bar at the top of your home page within the black navigation bar.
- If the retailer appears in the results on the Business Directory page, click the retailer's name.
- A modal will appear where you can connect with the retailer by inviting to be an authorized dealer, send a Sync request, allow wholesale access, show on the find a retailer page, and send a friend request.
- Select the applicable options and click Show to show the retailer on the Find a Retailer page.
- If the retailer does not appear in the results, click the blue Invite a Business Friend button, to invite the retailer to become a Shop Local member.
- If the retailer appears in the results on the Business Directory page, click the retailer's name.
- Enter the retailer’s name in the Search bar at the top of your home page within the black navigation bar.
Helpful tips:
- At the bottom of the My Retailers page, there is a percentage showing the percentage of retailers that you're Syncing products with under the "Syncing" column. You will likely want this percentage to be as close to 100% as possible. You will most likely want to sync with all retailers that say they sell your brand.
- If there is an Ask to Sync link, you're not Syncing products with a store. Click the Ask to Sync link. (If you are Syncing products, there is a green dot in the Syncing column on the My Retailers page.)
- If a store sells your product, you will want to be friends with it. Being friends is different than Syncing. It allows you to easily share news and files and contact each other via Shop Local.
- If you use the optional “Shop Local Wholesale Ordering” service, you may also invite your retailers to participate in that service.
